Today I am sharing a easy Slow Cooker Chili recipe that you can start early in the day and it is ready by dinner time. We also make it on game days when we watch our Bruins.
Slow Cooker Chili Recipe
1 lb. ground beef
3 tablespoons onions, chopped
2 16 oz cans chili beans, undrained
1 15 oz can kidney beans, drained
1 15 oz can chili con carne (no beans)
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon chili powder
Brown onion and ground beef in skillet.

Drain and put into a slow cooker container.
Add remaining ingredients.

Cook on Low 4 – 5 hours

Serve with shredded cheese and onions, if desired.

This also makes a great chili for tailgate parties!
You can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef if you wish.
How do you like your chili?

Oh, this is totally great fall food! I can just picture eating a bowl of this on game day {but I’ll be watching the Broncos}!
That’s right,I remember you are a Broncos fan! We are headed to our first Bruins game next weekend already!

I like my chilli with ground turkey and lots of beans, cheese and sour cream!
Ooooh! Sour cream is a great addition Tamara!
How yummy!
Thanks!
This is very similar to the chili I always create… but the seasoning I always use is Shelby Carroll, learned from a young age there was nothing else like it..
Love using the crock pot too.. and now that it’s so hot out, I need to break that out this week!
I have not heard of Shelby Carroll….have to check it out! I agree on the crock pot Jamie!
so pinning this!!
Thanks Merrie!
