Fried Dill Pickle Dip

This easy Fried Dill Pickle Dip has the crunch and the tangy zip of a fried dill pickle, in a creamy and cool appetizer dip. It’s a fun twist on the classic appetizer dip and perfect for game day, backyard BBQs, or a last-minute snack.

Ingredients

- Panko bread crumbs – these bread crumbs work the best
- salted butter
- dill pickles
- sour cream
- cream cheese – you can use a reduced fat cream cheese if you like.
- pickle juice (from the same jar of pickles
- ranch seasoning mix

Instructions

Step 1:
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the panko bread crumbs and toast until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

Step 3:
Add ranch seasoning, sour cream, chopped pickles, and pickle juice.

Step 4: Stir until well combined.
Spread the dip into a serving dish and top with toasted panko crumbs.

Serving Suggestions
Dippers – Serve this dip warm or cold with pretzel chips, crackers, bagel chips, bread sticks or fresh veggie stick.
You can use leftovers as a spread on burgers or sandwiches the next day.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Raquel’s Timesaving Tips
- Don’t skip toasting the Panko – it just takes a couple of minutes and really adds depth to the dip.
- Use whipped cream cheese so that it blends faster.
- Use room temperature cream cheese for best results, as the softened cheese blends smoother.
- Make the dip ahead of time, but don’t add the bread crumb topping until ready to serve.
- For an extra pop, reserve a tablespoon of chopped pickles to sprinkle on top just before serving.
