Best Easter Blondies Cookie Bars

These festive and easy Easter Blondies are a fun and delicious Easter treat. These would be great at an Easter brunch or Easter Potluck.
As a productivity manager, I understand how precious your time is, especially when it comes to preparation and presentation, and this Easter treat is an simple and quick recipe!
This Easter blondies recipe is made with just a few simple ingredients and are a fun twist on regular brownies. These blondies are chewy, chocolatey and blissfully tasty.

I like to make these as an Easter brunch dessert, but you could also put these in treat bags as an Easter basket treat or party favor.

Easter Blondies Ingredients

- butter – should be at room temperature for best results
- brown sugar – you can use light or dark brown sugar. I used light brown sugar in this instance.
- flour – I use all purpose flour
- egg
- vanilla extract
- baking soda
- baking powder
- salt
- chocolate M & Ms
- Easter Sprinkles. – I used these fun Easter Sprinkles

Substitutions and Variations
- You could also make easter egg blondies by using an egg-shaped cookie or an egg shaped silicone mold.
- You an also use leftover easter candy like mini Cadbury eggs, or mini eggs in place of the m and m candies.
How to Make the Easter Blondies
Step 1 – In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar.

Step 2 Blend well and add the vanilla extract and egg.

Step 3 – Add flour mixture to the blended butter mixture and combine. Stir in nearly all of the chocolate m and m candies and fold gently.

Save The Recipe!
Step 4 – Pour cookie dough into prepared pan and press down in an even layer. Top with additional m and m’s and sprinkles.

Step 5 – Bake as directed and let cool.

Cut into squares to serve.

Time-saving Tips
- Melt butter in the microwave to save time.
- Use a bench scraper to cut the blondies perfectly.
- If you use unsalted butter, you can add ¼ teaspoon of salt if you wish. Salt in cookies is a matter of personal taste.
- Keep a close eye on the baking process and use a toothpick or skewer to check for doneness. It should come out clean when blondies are done.

Absolutely, you can use most types of chocolate candies.
Can I add chocolate chips to the batter?
Yes you can add 1/4 cup of semisweet or white chocolate chips to this recipe.

You can use an 8″ x 8″ pan or an 7″ x 11″ baking pan like I did.

Equipment
- large mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), melted
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Easter M & M candies semi-sweet or milk chocolate
- 2 tablespoons Easter Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
- Grease a 8 x 8 or 12 x 8 inch pan with butter.
- In a large bowl, mix together melted butter brown sugar and vanilla.
- Add egg and blend well.
- Add dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Blend well.
- Fold in Easter M & M candies.
- Pour into 8 x 8 pan lined with parchment paper. Add sprinkles on top of batter.
- Bake in preheated 350° for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool before cutting.
