Why This Recipe
Watermelon is so refreshing and enjoying it in a smoothie form makes it a thirst-quenching drink for summer. Just a few ingredients are needed to make this wonderful summertime beverage.
They are really quick to make and you can even freeze the prepared fruit ahead of time and keep them in your freezer for quick access. I enjoy these for breakfast, snacks and even as a dessert. They also are easy to change up by switching the fruits (and vegetables) around to keep them interesting.
This smoothie is one of my very favorites to make and my kids liked this too! This smoothie does not contain any milk products.
Watermelon with a hint of lime make this a perfect non-alcoholic summer drink.
Ingredients For Watermelon Smoothie
Watermelon - Pick a nice big, heavy watermelon. A ripe one will have a deep hollow sound when you knock on it. I recommend a seedless watermelon, but either will work.
Lime - Any kind of store lime will work. The lime adds just a touch of citrus to the drink.
Ice - Crushed or cubes
