Timesaving and Expert Tips

Use firm fruit: Choose ripe but firm strawberries and blueberries so they hold up well, especially if you’re making it ahead.

Avoid browning: If using bananas or apples, add them right before serving and toss with a bit of lemon or lime juice to prevent browning.

Chill before serving: For the best flavor and texture, refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving. It tastes even better cold on a hot day!

Add a touch of dressing: For extra flavor, whisk together 1 tbsp honey with 1 tbsp lime juice and drizzle it over the fruit. It’s light, zesty, and naturally sweet.

Garnish for flair: A few fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of shredded coconut can elevate the look and flavor without much effort.

Prep ahead smartly: You can wash and chop all the fruit (except bananas) the night before—just store them in separate containers and combine right before serving.
