Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 2 apples we used Pink Lady for this recipe
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the strawberries, blueberries, and apples.
  • Cut off the tops of the strawberries and quarter them. Add to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the blueberries to the bowl with the strawberries.
  • Slice the apples into rounds about ¼-inch thick. Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to
  • punch out apple stars from each slice. Add the apple stars to the fruit bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and lime juice until smooth.
  • Pour the honey lime dressing over the fruit and toss gently to combine.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

Use firm fruit: Choose ripe but firm strawberries and blueberries so they hold up well, especially if you’re making it ahead.
Avoid browning: If using bananas or apples, add them right before serving and toss with a bit of lemon or lime juice to prevent browning
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
