This simple dollar store summer craft idea is a fun way to spend some time with friends crafting a fun summer sign for the porch or backyard, especially if you are hosting a fun beach or luau themed party.
Summer is a great time to spend a little time nourishing your creative self. This fun and festive DIY summer art project is super inexpensive. You can find flip flops in all colors at the dollar store, and the color combinations are endless.
You can pick solid or printed flip flops for this project. It is also a great sleepover craft idea!
TSo easy to make and This DIY sign is perfect to put out for backyard barbecues and on porches in the summer.
For the stickers, you can pick a font you like and pick up an alphabet sticker set in a contrasting color from the flip flops.
Then you will use glue to add the letters to the flip flops. The letters may already have adhesive, but for added strength, I recommend using glue as well.
Using a glue gun, adhere the flip flops to the ribbon.
Now its time to add the flowers. Again you can use any color flowers you want. You can even attach succulents if you like.

Turn flip flops over on the work surface. Starting at the base of the bottom flip flop, attach 36” of grosgrain ribbon to back with a glue gun. Go up to one side, leaving a 12” hanger at the top and down the other side. Trim any excess ribbon with scissors.
Pop the flowers of three (3) of the dollar store silk flower stems and then attach them to the tong part of each flip flop with a glue gun.
