This DIY Dollar Tree craft idea is perfect for spring and summer. Make these easy craft ideas with inexpensive supplies from Dollar tree or your favorite dollar store.

The weather is getting warm here in Southern California. I love opening the windows and sitting outside in the backyard again. I am sprucing up my home for summer with the help of some frugal finds at Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree Craft Idea

Dollar Tree DIY home decor is easy, fun and best of all - inexpensive!

These are some of the things I recently discovered there. It's worth checking out so that you can update your decor easily without spending lots of money,

I found these pretty mats, colorful stones and white rocks, all for $1 each.

There were also these candles and glass candle holders.

And this is what I did with them.

Dollar Tree DIY Spring Project Tutorial

Supplies Needed

All of these supplies were purchased from the dollar store.

  • Colorful Rocks or stones
  • Votives
  • candles - you can use real or battery operated candles
  • burlap ribbon - I used blue for a coastal look, but you can use other colors.
  • Glass or ceramic tray - for placing candles on
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun and glue stick

Project Steps

Step 1- I wrapped the glass containers with some burlap ribbon and cut them to size.

Step 2 - I secured them with hot glue.

Step 3 I  placed candles inside the holders.

Step 4I took the wrapped candles and set them on a long tray and added white rock to the tray.

I just love how they look and how easy they were to put together!

That looks great! You sure did find some good deals at your dollar store.

If you have a minute to spare I'd be thrilled if you could link this post up to my weekly Say G'Day Linky party which has just started. This would be a great addition!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school.
