Raquel’s Time Saving Tips & Tricks
- Save time by using pre-cooked bacon. Just chop it up and toss it in, no extra pan required.
- Brown ground beef in bulk ahead of time and freeze it in portions. When you need it, just thaw and add straight into the dip.
- Shred cheese ahead. Pre-shred blocks of cheese and store in airtight containers. You could also use pre-shredded cheese from the market, but honestly, freshly shredded cheese melts better and tastes better to me.
- Slow cook the dip. Assemble everything in a slow cooker and set it on warm. This also helps the dip to stay hot during a party.
- Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Serving and Storage Suggestions
Serve with tortilla chips, baguette slices, carrots, celery, pita chips, or pretzel bites. I also like to make some fries or tater tots to dip or scoop some of the dip on for a cheeseburger nachos snack. Great for movie time!
Store cooled, leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use within 2 days.
