Step by step overview – refer to recipe card for instructions.

Step 1 – Wash and dry strawberries. Set on parchment-lined tray.

Step 2 – Melt chocolate and dip each strawberry in the melted chocolate. Rotate strawberry to fully cover it.

Step 3 – Add candy eyes while chocolate is still wet. I like to use food tweezers to help add the eyes.

Step 4 – Add candy corn noses and let set.
Raquel’s Time Saving Tips
- This recipe makes 7 strawberries, but you can easily upsize the recipe for your needs.
- Use pre-melted candy coating for easier dipping and faster cleanup.
- Stick strawberries on parchment or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
- Assemble decorations while chocolate is still soft to skip extra “glue” steps.
- Make them the night before Thanksgiving — they hold up beautifully in the fridgeecipes below.
- Do not freeze these – as the strawberries will get mushy in the freezer.
Substitutions and Variations
- Use white chocolate and orange candy coloring for a lighter look.
- Swap candy corn with Reese’s Pieces or M&Ms for feathers.
- Try using mini marshmallows or white chocolate chips for eyes.
- For a dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate or dark cocoa melts.
