Raquel’s Time Saving Tips

  • This recipe makes 7 strawberries, but you can easily upsize the recipe for your needs.
  • Use pre-melted candy coating for easier dipping and faster cleanup.
  • Stick strawberries on parchment or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
  • Assemble decorations while chocolate is still soft to skip extra “glue” steps.
  • Make them the night before Thanksgiving — they hold up beautifully in the fridgeecipes below.
  • Do not freeze these – as the strawberries will get mushy in the freezer.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Use white chocolate and orange candy coloring for a lighter look.
  • Swap candy corn with Reese’s Pieces or M&Ms for feathers.
  • Try using mini marshmallows or white chocolate chips for eyes.
  • For a dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate or dark cocoa melts.
