Decorating mini pumpkins is an easy way to decorate with flair this fall. Gather up some washi tape and make this simple craft in minutes.
Today I am decorating some little pumpkins using decorative washi tape and scrapbook stickers.
I have a lot of scrapbook supplies from my scrapbook days (now I do a lot of it online).I love using my washi tape for other projects.
First I picked up some miniature pumpkins from the market. These are so cute and easy to find. Here they are undecorated. After washing and completely drying them, I started to decorate them.
I just cut the tape and the borders to size and adhered them to the pumpkins.
Here is the after shot. It took me about 20 minutes and makes a great craft for kids and anyone really, that is not too messy (read paint, glitter, etc.) These make cute additions to your tablescape or mantle for fall.
Decorating Mini Pumpkins – Supply List
- mini pumpkins
- washi tape
- scissors
- glue
Directions: Wash and dry mini pumpkins thoroughly before applying tape. Note, some washi tape will stick to the pumpkins better than others. You may want to use a little glue on some of the tape.
Use the tape from the stem to the base of the pumpkin and repeat 5 – 6 times. The orange or white from the pumpkins will pop in between the washi tape.
These are ready for decorating your desk, mantle or fall table. When the holiday is over, you can remove the washi tape and bake the mini-pumpkins if you wish.
Are you excited for fall?
I hope you enjoyed this simple craft idea. If you did, I would love it if you shared it. Thanks for visiting!
Fall is a great time to get crafty. These mini pumpkins are easy to find adt the grocery store and make a fun and simple decorating project. You can also use a hot glue gun and sequins to make them sparkle.
