Candy Corn Jello
Ingredients
- 1 – 3 oz package lemon jello
- 1 – 3 oz package orange jello
- 2 c. boiling water divided
- 2 c. cold water divided
- 2 c. cool whip
- Handful of candy corn for decoration
Instructions
- Layout your cups or containers that you’ll be using. We used 9 oz cups so we needed 6. Depending on the size of the container will determine how many you’ll need.
- Using a stovetop tea kettle or the microwave, heat 1 c of water until boiling. In a medium size bowl, combine the cup of boiling water with the lemon jello. Stir until dissolved. Pour in 1 c of cold water and stir until combined.
- The mixture should just be warm to the touch and can be poured into the container. We measured out ⅓ cup of lemon jello for each container.
- Transfer the jello cups to the fridge for about 2 hours, or until set..
- Once the yellow has begun to set up, you can begin making the orange jello.
- Using a stovetop tea kettle or the microwave, heat 1 c of water until boiling. In a medium size bowl, combine the cup of boiling water with the orange jello. Stir until dissolved. Pour in 1 c of cold water and stir until combined.
- The mixture should just be warm to the touch and can be poured into the container. We measured out ⅓ cup of orange jello for each container.
- Transfer the jello cups to the fridge and allow to set for an additional 2 hours or until completely set.
- When ready to serve, prepare a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Transfer the cool whip to the bag and pipe a large mound on top of each orange layer.
- Top with a candy corn for decoration.
- Enjoy!
