It has a secret ingredient that offers protein. A great choice for breakfast or a snack!

This Strawberry Banana Smoothie has lots of nutrients that make it a better choice for me. It has potassium, calcium, and protein and gives me the energy I need. The protein from the addition of my secret ingredient -  Creamy Peanut Butter.

The sweet strawberry and salty peanut butter flavors come together in minutes a bit of vanilla yogurt and is so good. It just takes four ingredients!

How To Make a Healthy Strawberry Smoothie

Preparation includes peeling the bananas and washing and removing the stems from the strawberries. To save time, you can do this the night before and just store in the freezer until you are ready to make it.

This strawberry, banana, yogurt and peanut butter smoothie is a combination that is tasty and flavorful.

Full recipe  below - Ingredients needed:

Strawberries - These are the star of the show here. Find plump, red berries that are ripe.

Bananas - You will want to use a ripe, or slightly over-ripe banana for this. Note that this recipe works best if the banana is frozen, but if not, just add a few ice cubes to the recipe.

Yogurt - Any vanilla or plain yogurt works here. You only need a small container unless you use yogurt for lots of recipes.

Peanut Butter - this adds some protein and heartiness to the smoothie. I suggest using a creamy style of your favorite brand.

I can't believe I've never added peanut butter to a smoothie. It seems like a no-brainer because I love it so much.
Perfect way to start the day.

Strawberry + banana seems like a timeless combination to me. However, during spring moths I am more fond of green smoothies made of spinach. Somehow I feel pretty refreshed after drinking them 🙂

Green smoothies are great too Jan! Have you tried adding a little peanut butter to them? It's a great addition. Thank you for stopping by!

Not yet Raquel. The peanut butter is not present in a typical supermarket here in the Czech republic. But I will have a look in specialized shops and try it. I heard that peanut butter is good for gaining mass, which would compliment my current diet plan. Thank you for the tip! 🙂
