Pineapple Lemonade Recipe Ingredients

Pineapple – Fresh pineapple is recommended. It is usually easy to find a whole pineapple for $2–$3. You only need two cups of chunks, so you’ll have plenty left over for snacking. Canned pineapple in 100% juice (not syrup) works beautifully if fresh isn’t in season, but be sure to drain it well before blending.
Lemons – Consider not buying lemons individually and grab a bag instead. A mesh bag of lemons typically costs the same as two or three loose ones, and you’ll use about four lemons for this recipe. Then you can use the rest to make a Lemon Icebox Cake or a
Pineapple Juice – Use 100% pineapple juice for the best flavor. Chilled juice helps keep the lemonade cold longer.
Granulated Sugar – Adjust the sweetness to your preference.

- Allow the syrup to cool.

Notes
- Fresh vs. canned pineapple: Fresh is ideal, but canned pineapple in 100% juice works great as a budget-friendly swap. Avoid pineapple packed in syrup as it will make the lemonade overly sweet and muddy the flavor.
- Make it ahead: The lemonade base (without ice) keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Give it a good stir before serving as it can settle slightly.
- Adjusting sweetness: Taste before you serve. If it’s too tart, add a splash more simple syrup. If it is too sweet, add a little extra lemon juice balances it right out.
