We held the wedding shower over a year ago, but with all of the weddings and bridal showers coming up, I wanted to share with you the cute mason jar craft idea that we made.
Planning a wedding shower is so much fun, and it is one of those days that a bride will always remember. These adorable wedding shower painted mason jars were part of the decor from my daughter’s bridal shower last year.
We held the shower at a nearby restaurant and starting about six weeks prior, we had several craft sessions with the girls in the wedding party. These crafting sessions were so much fun and we were really productive! It was also a great way for the bridal party to get to know each other before the big day.
These painted mason jars were used for the shower and the wedding. My daughter’s colors were teal and gold, so my daughter opted for the mason jar centerpieces to be painted gold and to hold teal flowers.
First we sprayed the mason jars with paint and let them dry completely.
Then we painted them again.
Then we wrapped each one with burlap ribbon and secured them with a hot glue gun.
Embellishments were added. Then came the tissue flowers.
You can use them for so many things. we used them for shower activities.
And for little touches around the room.
Mason Jar Craft Idea: Bridal Decor - Supply List
Newspapers or a dropcloth

Small paper flowers
Note: Now they actually have burlap ribbon with lace already on it.
- Rinse off glasses and let dry completely.
- Place mason jars upside down on newspapers or dropcloth.
- Spray with desired color paint and let dry.
- Spray a second coat and let dry.
- Wrap burlap ribbon and secure with glue.
- Wrap with lace ribbon over burlap and secure with glue.
- Tie a piece of twine around lace.
- Add paper flowers with glue and let dry completely.
Mason jars decorations are so versatile. We had real flowers in them from the wedding. Here is a peak at those.

The gold paint is so stunning! My sister's wedding was late in 2014 - in October - and was also filled with beautiful mason jars. For a fall wedding, we could have gone gold!
Thank you Tamara! I remember your sister's wedding. You photographed it beautifully!
Those jars are so pretty! I really like the gold paint 🙂
Thank you Ashley! We were happy with how they came out!
