DIY hanging mason jars for wedding

We held the wedding shower over a year ago, but with all of the weddings and bridal showers coming up, I wanted to share with you the cute mason jar craft idea that we made.

wedding mason jars

Planning a wedding shower is so much fun, and it is one of those days that a bride will always remember. These adorable wedding shower painted mason jars were part of the decor from my daughter’s bridal shower last year.

These painted mason jars made for pretty centerpieces for the shower and wedding! We held the shower at a nearby restaurant and starting about six weeks prior, we had several craft sessions with the girls in the wedding party. These crafting sessions were so much fun and we were really productive! It was also a great way for the bridal party to get to know each other before the big day.

Such a fun way to decorate mason jars! Perfect for a bridal shower or wedding!

These painted mason jars were used for the shower and the wedding. My daughter’s colors were teal and gold, so my daughter opted for the mason jar centerpieces to be painted gold and to hold teal flowers.

First we sprayed the mason jars with paint and let them dry completely.

Then we painted them again.

Then we wrapped each one with burlap ribbon and secured them with a hot glue gun.

Embellishments were added. Then came the tissue flowers.

The gold paint is so stunning! My sister's wedding was late in 2014 - in October - and was also filled with beautiful mason jars. For a fall wedding, we could have gone gold!
