How to make sugar cookie flag fruit pizza
Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a cookie sheet with non—stick spray, or for best results, line with parchment.
Take the sugar cookie dough, and slice into 1/4 inch pieces. Place the pieces in the shape of a flag on the cookie sheet, and press the edges into one piece. Bake at 375 for 11–12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.

Step 2 – Allow the cookie to cool completely. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix until well combined.

Step 3 – Spread the frosting over the sheet cookie.

Step 4 –Take the strawberries and remove the tops and quarter them. Start to design the flag on your cookie by using the blueberries for the blue square.

Step 5 – Add the cool whip into a piping bag with a star tip. For the red and white stripes, place the quartered strawberries in a line, then adding a line of cool whip. Repeat to fill out the cookie sheet.

Step 6 – Chill until ready to serve.

Tips for the Best Results
- Use parchment paper on your baking sheet to help the cookie crust release cleanly.
- Let the sugar cookie crust cool completely before adding the cream cheese mixture.
- Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps in the frosting.
- Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar on low speed in a medium bowl using an electric mixer with a paddle attachment.
- For the best results, layer the cream cheese frosting in an even layer across the cooled crust before decorating.
- Chill the finished cookie in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
- Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to create white stripes with cool whip between the rows of strawberries.
Substitutions and Variations
- Try using a round pizza pan instead of a rectangular baking sheet if you want a circular version.
- Use sugar cookie mix or your favorite homemade sugar cookie recipe instead of refrigerated dough.
- Fresh raspberries can be swapped in for strawberries for the red stripes.
- Add cookie stars made with a small star cookie cutter from leftover dough for extra decoration.
