How to make Carrot Krispie treats

Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan with butter or margarine, or use cooking spray.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 1 – Add the marshmallows and stir often until fully melted.

Step 2 – Remove from heat and gradually add the cereal, stirring until well-coated. Then add the food coloring gel.

Step 3 – Scoop out cereal mixture when it has cooled a little bit and use wax paper to form “carrots”.

Step 4 – Add the carrot tops by making a small hole at the top of each carrot and filling with a few slivers of edible grass.

Carrot Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 cups rice krispies cereal
- 10 oz bag marshmallows
- 3 drops orange food gel
- 1 bag edible grass
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter on low heat and then add in marshmallows stirring often. I usually add the together and stir very frequently until melted.
- Once melted turn off heat and stir in the food gel. Mix well.
- Add in six cups of rice krispies cereal and stir well into all are coated with the orange marshmallow mixture.
- Let it cool slightly then remove from pan and shape into carrots. Push a thumb into the top to make a hole.
- Cut the edible grass into section and place into the top of the carrot hole and press the hole around the grass to keep in place.
- Serve!
