Caramel Pretzels

These easy Salted Caramel Pretzels are a fun and easy snack idea. The pretzels shown here were made with holiday pretzel shapes, but youcan use any pretzel brand.
Salty pretzels have a sweet caramel center and are dipped in chocolate making these salty sweet bites great as a party snack or as a game day treat.
I made these for New Year’s Eve last year.

This recipe is super simple and made with just a few ingredients. These finger food treats are fun to make and you can easily change then up for the season.
These also taste great – sweet and salty for a delicious snack.
Caramel Pretzel Ingredients

- Shaped Pretzels – you will want to use shaped pretzels so that you can add the caramel filling. You can use the standard pretzel twists to make these. I used these Utz Christmas pretzels.
- soft salted caramel – I used the Favorite Day brand from Target.
- Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Festive Sprinkles

Variations
It is easy to change these up with different shaped pretzels or by coloring the candy melts with a little bit of food coloring. You can also change up the sprinkles.
How tp Make Caramel Pretzels
Step 1 – Pair up the pretzel pieces on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Step 2 – Place salted caramel between two pieces and repeat for all the sets.

Step 3 – Melt white chocolate metls as directed on the back of the bag.

Step 4 – Dip half of each pretzel in the white chocolate coating. Tap the dipped pretzel gently a spoon to remove excess chocolate. Place on cookie sheet and add festive sprinkles while chocolate is still wet. Repeat for 1/2 of the remaining pretzels.

Step 5 – Melt the dark chocolate melts and dip the remaining pretzels in it, then add sprinkles.

Let set completely before serving.

Serving and Storage
Serve in a bowl or platter.
Store in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days.

- Baking Sheet

Ingredients
- 80 Christmas pretzels
- 20 pieces salted caramel use soft caramel not hard.
- 5 oz GHIRARDELLI Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers
- 5 oz GHIRARDELLI White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers
- 2 tablespoons gold glitter pearl sprinkles l
Instructions
- Pick out 40 pieces making 20 sets of trees, bells, or snowflakes. I find the trees and bells work best. Place salted caramel between two pieces and repeat for all the sets.
- Melt chocolate as directed on the back of the bag. Each microwave is different. I use the defrost setting using 2 minutes, then 1 minute increments stirring in between until melted.
- Dip ten pretzesl on only half of the pretzel into the dark chocolate. Do the same with the white chocolate. Drizzle sprinkles on top. Let dry before serving.
