Sharing is caring!

This post is sponsored by Rubbermaid®, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Today I am sharing some pantry organization hacks to help save time in the kitchen.

Have you ever looked for something and have spent frustrating minutes trying to find it? You probably have. I have some solutions for you and an opportunity to enter for a chance to win the Rubbermaid® Easy Find Lids™ Pantry Makeover Sweepstakes (valued up to $5000)!

Hello friends! It's been a busy time of year so now more than ever I'm trying to stay organized and spend time on the things that matter. Last weekend I took some time to organize my pantry and prepare for the upcoming seasons.

We moved to a townhouse recently and my kitchen is very compact. Now more than ever it is of the utmost importance that I have a good system for an efficient kitchen. Today I would like to share my kitchen organization tips with you.

After living in a home with a smaller kitchen, I have discovered a few small kitchen organization hacks to help keep my kitchen organized and save me time searching for things.

Small Kitchen Organization Hacks

Move Out What You Don’t Use

Space in my kitchen is prime and is reserved for more frequently-used housewares. I recommend that if you have an item that you haven’t used in the last few years, consider donating it to a good home. I used to have a bread maker and realized that I can just make my bread in the oven in a loaf pan and did not need the large appliance (that I rarely used) taking up a lot of space.

Storage Placement

Keep most used items at convenient levels so you can just grab them when you need them. Store lesser used items in lower and higher shelves, or even in the back of other items to optimize limited storage space.

Stick to the Basics

For food preparation utensils, many items will serve double duty. Keep the number of knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls and baking pans to a minimum. I use the same baking pan for casseroles, hot dips, vegetables and even salads.

Keep Similar Items Together

I find it really helpful to store similar items together. For example, I not only keep all my baking ingredients together, I also store cupcake liners, frosting bags and sprinkles all in the same area. It makes it easier for me to find what I am looking for when I am baking.

Food Storage Systems

Use a food storage system that is easy to find and does not take a lot of room. I personally love the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids™ Containers system. They have different sized containers and the lids snap together to maintain organization and assure me that I won’t have to search for them. All the containers are square shaped which makes them great for stacking too!

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to find the proper size storage for your food and then finding the right lid. Has that ever happened to you? If it has, it may be time for your pantry to get a little spring-cleaning love! I picked up a set of the Rubbermaid® Easy Find Lids™ food storage containers last week. They have them at most retailers.

With all of these great containers, I can ensure that I will find my food storage containers easily and the lids are stored right below them! Not having to look for matching lids is a big time-saver!

I love that I can easily store these food storage containers. The Rubbermaid® Easy Find Lids™ containers are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. Another great time-saving win!

These are so perfect for packing meals for the upcoming picnic and beach season!

Rubbermaid can do no wrong! We have a larger kitchen (but not huge) but still use these. We have small cabinets and a small pantry and this is how we chose to organize. No better way!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school. I also had a passion for organizing and keeping things tidy.
