School is not out yet for us, but we are so ready for summer. Every year we make bucket lists of stuff we would like to do and see in the summer. To be honest, we first started doing these when the kids were really young because I wanted them to have a list of things to do when they started to miss school and would tell me that they were bored.

But they are older now and the anticipation of summer is a wonderful feeling in our household so this year we changed it up and planned a Summer Bucket List Party.

Fun Party Idea - Summer Bucket List Party

I mad a quick trip to Walmart and the craft store and found some great supplies for the party. I picked up some Dr Pepper® Cherry,M&M's® Plain,M&M's® Peanut,SNICKERS® Ice Cream Bars,Life Savers® and Skittles®.for the snacks. By the way, they are having an amazing sweepstakes to celebrate the season.

For the craft, we needed some buckets, rubber stamps, index cards and a couple of summer decorations.

Instead of just making a list, we created a "clothesline" bucket list billboard. We used a folding screen to function as our summer billboard and hung some string and a welcome sign on it.

We made a little arrangement with some flowers we had and also decorated some chalkboard sings with the "Welcome Summer" theme.

By the way we found the colorful index cards at Walmart.

Since no party is complete without some snacks so we made sure that treats and drinks were readily available. We put the candy in buckets of course!

When making the lists on the cards, we let everyone write as little or as much as they wanted. There was no minimum number of items to list because we wanted to keep it fun and non-competitive.

Doodles and drawings of the bucket list items are highly recommended. Rubber stamps make it easy for those that would prefer to stamp.

Cards were then hung on the summer billboard.

It was a fun way to talk about all the things we hope to do this summer and hear about what everyone wants to do!

For favors, everyone got to take home their bucket, with a can of Dr. Pepper Cherry, their bucket list cards and a rubber stamp.

By the way, Dr. Pepper Cherry is really good and I found mine in the soda aisle.

Totally fun! And I'm digging your candy and soda choices. My summer bucket list is so big and I'm not even sure I've fulfilled any of it yet.. but we still have two weeks of school and summer hasn't started so I feel ok about it.
I need a party like this to kick it off!

How fun! Looks like a great summer ahead. So funny, I just received a message on my Dr. Pepper pork chops and they asked if the cherry Dr. Pepper would work. I said sure why not..yummy!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school. I also had a passion for organizing and keeping things tidy.
