Organized Freezer

Refrigerator and freezer organization is one of those things that is necessary if you want to avoid wasting food (and money) but it tends to get neglected! The other day I opened my freezer and noticed that it was actually not very organized. When I could not even see what was in there (especially in the back and bottom), I knew it was time to take a look at what I had and get organizing.

Can you tell my freezer has been a bit neglected?

In desperate need of freezer organization!

I really like using bins from the dollar store to help me keep like items together. I find it really helps me remember what I have and am able to use things up as intended. I also decided to pull out my label maker to get this stuff better organized.

Talk about saving time! So I was actually kind of giddy to try this out on my freezer and yes, it was actually fun to do. So here was my freezer and refrigerator before:

  • meats
  • vegetables
  • dinners
  • rice/sides
  • ice cream
  • frozen yogurt
  • potatoes

Great job getting the freezer organized like that - wouldn't have thought about labels on bins like that. Makes it easy to see what goes where. Nice!
