- real dragonfruit - red dragon fruit or pink dragon fruit
- pineapple chunks
- coconut milk
- honey

Substitutions and Variations
Dried or Fresh Fruit - You can use fresh dragon fruit but I find that the frozen dragonfruit is just as good and can be found easily in the frozen fruit section of your local grocery store. I have not tried this recipe yet with dried dragonfruit.
Milk - You can sub oat milk, almond milk or 2% milk, for the coconut milk. You could also use coconut water
Sweetener - You can enhance the natural sweetness of the tropical flavor with agave or maple syrup for a sweeter smoothie
Smoothie bowls - You could use frozen yogurt if you prefer a yogurt smoothie bowl.

How to Make a Dragonfruit Smoothie
Step 1 - Add Coconut milk and honey to blender.
Step 2 - Add dragonfruit.
Step 3 - Add pineapple.
Step 4 -Blend on high for about 60 seconds. Pour into glass and top with a little fresh fruit pieces.
Top Tips
- Storage - Store leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Easy breakfast idea - this healthy snack is already a quick breakfast recipe, but you can make dragon fruit smoothie packs ahead of time. Pack the dragonfruit and pineapple chunks in freezer-safe zip bags and store in the freezer until ready to use.
- Can add ice cubes
- Double the recipe and pour the extra into popsicle molds and freeze for a second cool snack.

Equipment
- 1 high-speed blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
- ½ cup frozen pineapple
- 8 oz milk can use coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Pour milk into the blender. Add in frozen dragonfruit and frozen pineapple.
- Add in honey and blend well.
- Pour into a glass and serve topped with one piece of pineapple and one piece of dragonfruit. Topping is optional.
