Dragonfruit Smoothie Ingredients
  • real dragonfruit – red dragon fruit or pink dragon fruit 
  • pineapple chunks
  • coconut milk
  • honey

Substitutions and Variations

Dried or Fresh Fruit – You can use fresh dragon fruit but I find that the frozen dragonfruit is just as good and can be found easily in the frozen fruit section of your local grocery store. I have not tried this recipe yet with dried dragonfruit.

Milk – You can sub oat milk, almond milk or 2% milk, for the coconut milk. You could also use coconut water

Sweetener – You can enhance the natural sweetness of the tropical flavor with agave or maple syrup for a sweeter smoothie

Smoothie bowls – You could use frozen yogurt if you prefer a yogurt smoothie bowl.

Step 1 – Add Coconut milk and honey to blender.

Step 4 –Blend on high for about 60 seconds. Pour into glass and top with a little fresh fruit pieces.

Top Tips

  • Storage – Store leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Easy breakfast idea – this healthy snack is already a quick breakfast recipe, but you can make dragon fruit smoothie packs ahead of time. Pack the dragonfruit and pineapple chunks in freezer-safe zip bags and store in the freezer until ready to use.
  • Can add ice cubes
  • Double the recipe and pour the extra into popsicle molds and freeze for a second cool snack.

Equipment

  • 1 high-speed blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 8 oz milk can use coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions
 

  • Pour milk into the blender. Add in frozen dragonfruit and frozen pineapple.
  • Add in honey and blend well.
  • Pour into a glass and serve topped with one piece of pineapple and one piece of dragonfruit. Topping is optional.

Notes

You can sub agave or sugar for the honey.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
