Spring Decor Craft: Decorating Planters

Decorating with planters can be a fun way to bring spring indoors a little early. This post is from a prior spring but is perfect for this time of year.

This weekend I worked on a couple of simple decor craft ideas with my mom. We wanted to try some new decorating ideas and we decided to make some cute flower arrangements out of these hanging pails that I recently purchased. We figured that we could cheer up the house a bit with some cute faux flowers. These are what the pails looked like undecorated.

With the addition of a little bit of washi tape and some felt hearts, my mom and I quickly made these planters look festive and fun. We used a hot glue gun to add the felt embellishments to the containers.

We put some flowers from the dollar store and secured them with a styrofoam base inside and voilà, they were done! My mother is going to hang these in her patio.

Here is a list of items you will need to make these cute planters:

small pans or pails

washi tape

felt scraps

buttons

glue gun with glue 🙂

plastic flowers

I have so many ideas of things I want to embellish with washi tape. Have you used decorative washi tape?
