Simple-Fall-Decor

So I am getting ready to update my house decor for fall and have been looking for some fall decorating ideas.  I purchased two small bag of leaves from a craft store and I wanted to share a few things I did with them to make the house ready for the season.

Fall decorating with candles

I found a glass container and a store bought candle,

I put the candle in the container, then added leaves around the outside of the candle container.

Please keep in mind that all the leaves are well below the flame level.

Next, I tied a brown ribbon around my bath towels,

Then I took a few leaves and stapled them to a twisty tie (you know the kind you get with trash bags or from the produce section?

then secured the stapled leaves to the ribbon with the twisty tie for a nice autumn touch in the bathroom.

Kitchen Ideas

Next, I took a few leaves that were left and laid them around a bowl of apples.  Now it feels a little more like fall, at least inside the house.  I hear cooler weather is coming soon.

Next, I am going to add pumpkins.  Have you used leaves for decorating?

Great simple tips to decorate for fall simply and beautifully!

I really love the simplicity of your fall decorating! I have a strand of leaves that I place over some of our doorways but with 2 kittens in the house that may be asking for my trouble and so I may need to find some different ways to decorate this year.

I love the idea of using fall leaves in centerpieces! I have a particularly curious toddler, so I might use a plastic vase instead of glass, but overall I think your idea will help create a festive fall fealling in my house. Thanks!

Thanks so much for sharing those easy ideas. I love simple! And just happened to decorate my house with fall decor today! I have a lot of cloth-stuffed pumpkins. I have fall leaves on a strand...I wrap them around a mirror in the entry and another strand goes across the top of our bookcases in the living room. I love this time of year! The colors...the food...the cooler temps...I love it all. So happy to see your ideas.

I love changing up my home with the seasons. The bowl of apples has to be my favorite. My husband and I go apple picking each year, and we usually have more than we can fit in the refrigerator, so using them to decorate is going to be great.

    Beautiful. And so simple.

I don't decorate. To me, it's just creating a mess I'll have to clean up later. I do love appreciating the efforts of others, though. I love to see other people's houses all dolled up. It sounds like yours is a lovely piece of fall. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Sharefest. Have a great weekend.
