This week I had fun decorating a bulletin board, but I need to give you the story on it. Last month, I went to a Blog Conference and had a chance to attend a fun and informative session with Sabrina Soto. You know her from TLC, MTV and one of my favorite channels, HGTV! The event was sponsored by VELCRO® Brand and it was amazing.
We actually got to meet at a Broken Spanish restaurant in Los Angeles, which I loved and want to check out again and I loved meeting Sabrina. She is a new mom and has a lot on her plate but she does everything with grace and style. She so inspiring and authentic too! She shared some stories about being a new mom, balancing life's demands, and tips on decorating you space. Sabrina shared how she made a cute framed decorative bulletin board within minutes. She shared it on her Instagram:

At the end of the evening VELCRO® Brand gave us some supplies to take home to make our own bulletin board creation. I was excited to make one, but with the start of school, I had to post-pone the project until this month. However, I just finished it and wanted to share it with you.
I made a decorative bulletin board using this frame.
Supplies: Decorating a Bulletin Board
Frame (medium or large)
Scrapbook Paper
VELCRO® Brand HANGables™
glue stick
Scissors
Ribbon or string, bows, buttons
Photos
Note pad
Clothespins or clips
Instructions
- If your frame has a mounting board, I suggest removing it so you have more room for notes and photos.
- Adhere scrapbook paper to line the back of the frame using a glue stick.
- Use the HANGables™ to adhere photos, ribbons and other embellishments.
- Hang up your decorated bulletin board.
The HANGables™ are easy to use and one side is clear so you cannot see them. I made a bow out of some twine and attached it to the board.
Would you like to save this?
With a few photos, sticky notes and a clothes pin - the board was finished!
Isn't it cute?
Once you have your supplies gathered, it only takes about 15 minutes to put together, making it another simple and quick craft idea!
So next time you are asking, How can I decorate a bulletin board? I suggest you think about getting some of these VELCRO® Brand HANGables™ accessories and let your imagination run wild. What I love about this board is that the items are movable, thanks to the product. It can easily be changed from month to month or season or whatever.
This is a great craft for teens too! Be sure to check out my other simple craft ideas. Special thanks to VELCRO® Brand and Sabrina Soto for the great craft inspiration! I recommend you follow Sabrina on Twitter for more great craft inspiration!
What would you put on your bulletin board?
Tamara
Sabrina Soto! Great picture!
Scarlet has this great spot on her wall by her bed, and she's been asking for a bulletin board. I was a bit intimidated by the idea, but you make me less so.
