Decorating A Bulletin Board in 15 Minutes

Sharing is caring!

This week I had fun decorating a bulletin board, but I need to give you the story on it. Last month, I went to a Blog Conference and had a chance to attend a fun and informative session with Sabrina Soto. You know her from TLC, MTV and one of my favorite channels, HGTV! The event was sponsored by VELCRO® Brand and it was amazing.

We actually got to meet at a Broken Spanish restaurant in Los Angeles, which I loved and want to check out again and I loved meeting Sabrina. She is a new mom and has a lot on her plate but she does everything with grace and style. She so inspiring and authentic too! She shared some stories about being a new mom, balancing life's demands, and tips on decorating you space. Sabrina shared how she made a cute framed decorative bulletin board within minutes. She shared it on her Instagram:

At the end of the evening VELCRO® Brand gave us some supplies to take home to make our own bulletin board creation. I was excited to make one, but with the start of school, I had to post-pone the project until this month. However, I just finished it and wanted to share it with you.

I made a decorative bulletin board using this frame.

Decorating a bulletin board is easy with a little help from Velcro!

Supplies: Decorating a Bulletin Board

Frame (medium or large)
Scrapbook Paper
VELCRO® Brand HANGables™
glue stick
Scissors
Ribbon or string, bows, buttons
Photos
Note pad
Clothespins or clips

Instructions

  1. If your frame has a mounting board, I suggest removing it so you have more room for notes and photos.
  2. Adhere scrapbook paper to line the back of the frame using a glue stick.
  3. Use the HANGables™ to adhere photos, ribbons and other embellishments.
  4. Hang up your decorated bulletin board.

The HANGables™ are easy to use and one side is clear so you cannot see them. I made a bow out of some twine and attached it to the board.

With a few photos, sticky notes and a clothes pin - the board was finished!

    Sabrina Soto! Great picture!
Scarlet has this great spot on her wall by her bed, and she's been asking for a bulletin board. I was a bit intimidated by the idea, but you make me less so.
