While it is really fun to go away on a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day, the truth is that it is not realistic for most people. Throughout the years most Valentine’s Days my husband and I have spent together have been really low-key. When the kids were younger we did not go out because a lot of the restaurants were really crowded and it was not good use of baby sitting time.

  1. I’ve been wondering what we’ll do. We’re all fried from our trip and we have a birthday party earlier that day. I was thinking of making a nice dinner or breakfast or dessert. And watching a movie together.

  2. Great ideas! I’m going to make the heart shaped cookies on Sunday, as well as fix hubby a wonderful meal. We are on a no spend, so it will be a perfect day to relax and just hang out.
