I have been determined to bring fall inside the house even though it is about 85 degrees outside. I do not mean to complain, but it would just be great if it were a little cooler outside.
My dining room table was bland and needed some decorating.
So I purchased a few decor items like some flowers, a vase a runner and I brought out my dollar store chargers.
As I was working on this, I had a little health issue last week. My eye was giving me problems and it turned out to be a peripheral detachment of my retina. Luckily, it was caught early so I had to have a laser procedure done. My eye is recovering, but my vision is taking a while to recover. This has been making me a bit antsy to say the least.
One of the things I love to do is crafting. I find it so therapeutic and since I had not finished my table, I decided to decorate a little chalkboard sign to welcome fall, when it finally gets here. In fact, maybe it will come faster with a sign. So I just started writing and making this fall chalkboard art.
I think I paid a dollar for this sign and I had the chalkboard markers. I just hand-lettered the words and realized just how much I like hand-lettering. Note to self - need to do more of this in the future because I find it really relaxing and gratifying.
Here is the sign close up.
So now my table looks like this:
So much better and now it is looking like fall here, on the inside of the house that is!

Raquel, what a gorgeous set up for autumn! You're freehand chalkboard script is AMAZING. What a great talent. I made my first chalkboard sign for my daughter's birthday party, and I absolutely had to use a template. I'm so sorry to hear about your eye. Thankfully you caught it early. I hope your recovery is going smoothly 🙂
