Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Make the Bear Faces: Slice both sugar cookie and chocolate chip cookie dough into 1/4-inch thick rounds Alternate between the two for the bear faces—half will be sugar cookie (white bears) and half chocolate chip (brown bears). Place each round on the baking sheet
Add Ears: Use the opposite dough for the ears. For sugar cookie faces, press two small chocolate chip dough circles on top as ears.
For chocolate chip faces, use sugar cookie dough for the ears. Gently press them into the top of each round.
Make the Snout: Form a small ball from the same dough used for the ears and press it into the center of the face for the snout.
Inner Ears: Add contrast by placing two tiny pieces of the face dough into the center of each ear (sugar dough on chocolate ears, chocolate dough on sugar ears).
Bake according to the dough package instructions—usually 10–12 minutes—until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool slightly, then press two large chocolate chips into each for the eyes, and one for the nose. Arrange on a platter.
