Taco Pasta with Ground Beef

This easy one pot taco pasta is so easy to make. Tender ground beef, vegetables and cheese combine to make this delicious one pot dinner idea. Made with just a few ingredients and ready in about 30 minutes. You will want to add this easy dinner idea to your menu plan.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup jarred or fresh salsa
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green chilis
  • 1/2 can of corn about 2/3 cup
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, brown ground beef.
  • Drain oil and add taco seasoning and coat ground beef.
  • Add pasta, water, salsa, green chilis, corn, garlic, garlic powder and chili powder.
  • Heat to a boil.
  • Cover and simmer about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • remove from heat, add cheese and tomatoes
  • Add cilantro and serve.
