This Streusel Coffee Cake recipe is also known as Bisquick Coffee Cake is made simply with a baking mix and sugar, then baked with a crumbly streusel topping for a delicious dessert cake.

Equipment

  • medium bowl
  • wooden spoon
  • square pans

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Streusel Topping

  • 1/3 cup Baking mix
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar (packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoons butter or margarine cold firm

Instructions

  • Grease an 8" or 9" cake pan or square pan.
  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Mix cake ingredients in a medium mixing bowl
  • Pour into greased baking dish.
  • Spread evenly in pan with an offset spatula or butter knife.
  • Prepare the streusel ingredients - Stir streusel ingredients in a small bowl with a fork until crumbly. This topping recipe works well on other breads and muffins too!
  • Sprinkle topping (recipe below) on top of the batter.
  • Bake 20-24 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
