Equipment

  • Powerful Blender
  • Tamper (optional)
  • 2 16-Ounce Hurricane Glasses (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Ice
  • 2 Cups Frozen Strawberries
  • 6 Ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 4 Ounces White Rum
  • 4 Ounces Cream of Coconut
  • Fresh Strawberries optional garnish

Instructions

  • Set the strawberry garnishes off to the side and add the rest of the ingredients to a powerful blender, starting with the ice and frozen strawberries.
  • Blend for about a minute or until nice and smooth. If need be, use a tamper to move the items around in your blender as it’s mixing. This helps it reach its full potential in blending power.
  • Pour into two hurricane glasses, if desired. Pop the strawberry garnish on top and add a straw for the perfect finish. Enjoy!

Notes

Frozen strawberries work best with this recipe as they act as a substitute for 2 cups of ice, without diluting the strawberry flavor. If you want to use fresh strawberries, you’ll want to, most likely, double your ice, or at least add more.
If you want a boost of coconut, you can use coconut rum in place of the white rum.
I do not recommend using coconut milk or coconut cream, cream of coconut is necessary to make this tasty drink.
