Pretzel Beer Cheese Dip Stovetop Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Once melted, sprinkle the flour over the butter, and whisk to combine. It will form a thick paste.
  • Cook 1-2 minutes.
  • Slowly pour milk over flour mixture, whisking to combine.
  • Once milk is incorporated, whisk in the beer.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt, and stir.
  • Finally whisk in the cheese, and continue cooking, stirring until the cheese is melted and smooth.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator.
