Kids love helping assemble them, and they’re a festive way to serve up a sweet bite without turning on the oven.

Equipment

  • knife

Ingredients

  • 6 mini chocolate donuts
  • 48 mini pretzels
  • 12 candy eyes
  • Honey or frosting

Instructions

  • Break mini pretzel twists in half by hand, removing the center piece to create a “J”-shaped spider leg. It might take a few tries to get the hang of it, but it becomes easier once you get the technique down.
  • Insert six pretzel pieces into each mini donut—three on each side—to create the spider legs.
  • Use a toothpick and a small dab of honey to attach two candy eyes to the top of the donut.
  • Store-bought frosting or jam can be used as an alternative.
  • Place on a cutting board or serving tray and enjoy!
