Easy Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake Recipe

A quick and easy Pumpkin Spice cake recipe made easily with a boxed cake mix, a few spices, cream cheese frosting and chopped pecans.

Equipment

  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 13 x 9" baking pan
  • 1 hand mixer or stand mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Whipped Cream Frosting

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • Grease and flour 13" x 9" baking pan.
  • MIx ingredients together in a bowl for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour pumpkin mixture into prepared baking dish.
  • Bake 30 - 35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean and cake is golden brown.
  • Cool and frost with frosting recipe below.

Whipped Cream Frosting for Pumpkin Spice Cake

  • Whip heavy cream in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and mix until blended
  • Top each square with a dollop. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best results.
You can also frost with a cream cheese frosting if desired.
