Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup buffalo hot sauce
  • ½ cup blue cheese
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls or slider rolls
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, buffalo hot sauce, and blue cheese until smooth. Stir in the shredded chicken, coating it evenly.
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the rolls. Layer the mozzarella slices over the chicken. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  • Add the buttery topping: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic salt. Brush the mixture over the tops of the sliders.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown. Let the sliders cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 325°F for 5-7 minutes or until warmed through.
If you’re not a fan of blue cheese, you can substitute it with ranch dressing or omit it altogether.
Adjust the buffalo sauce amount to your heat preference. For a milder version, use ¼ cup buffalo sauce and ¼ cup ranch.
These pair well with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing.
You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience or cook and shred your own.
Hawaiian rolls add a slight sweetness that balances the heat, but brioche or regular dinner rolls work well too.
