Taco Pasta with Ground Beef

This delicious Cheese Taco Pasta is so easy to make on your stovetop. Just a few ingredients and it is ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup jarred or fresh salsa
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green chilis
  • ½ can of corn about ⅔ cup
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, brown ground beef.
  • Drain oil and add taco seasoning and coat ground beef.
  • Add pasta, water, salsa, green chilis, corn, garlic, garlic powder and chili powder.
  • Heat to a boil.
  • Cover and simmer about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • remove from heat, add cheese and tomatoes
  • Add cilantro and serve.
