This edition of Dollar Store Holiday Crafts is all about St. Patrick's Day!
This cute wreath just takes a little time to make and you can find the materials at the dollar store! Perfect for a St. Patrick's party too!
Hello Friends and Happy March! Here we are getting ready for spring (I cannot wait), and all the fun flowers, food and festivals that come with it. As you know, I relish each season and recently I made this dollar store St. Patricks' Day wreath at a craft session with my mom.
I just love how it came out and the entire wreath cost about $5 to make. How can you beat that for holiday home decor? I wanted to share it with you in case you were in need of a craft session. I find it so relaxing and could craft all day!
Dollar Store Holiday Crafts - St. Patrick's Day Decor
- Foam Wreath
- Decorative Mesh 4" ( I used two colors)
- Bow Tie, shamrocks (just need a about 3 pieces)
- Piece of Ribbon 12"- 15"
- Floral wire
How to Make A Mesh Wreath
The Dollar store was out of wire wreaths, so I used styrofoam instead.
I started by cutting squares of mesh (about 4" x #4")
Then, I rolled each square and pinched it in the middle with floral wire.
After I rolled each square, I pushed the floral wire into the foam.
After filling the wreath, I glued the bow tie on the bottom. The bow tie was actually a hair band from the dollar store, but I cut off the band.
Then using the ribbon, I glued two shamrocks to the ends. I folded the ribbon in half, and secured the ribbon with floral wire.
It looks really festive hanging on the wall.
