13 x 9 Baking Dish
- 20 Oreo cookies
- 6 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 10 ounces 6 cups of miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups rice krispies cereal
Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray, set aside.
Add the Oreo cookies to a large ziploc bag, and crush them with a rolling pin or something similar. Set aside.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows, and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until marshmallows are melted.
Remove from the heat and mix in the crushed Oreo cookies and rice krispies cereal.
Press the mixture into the 9x13 pan, and smooth out evenly.
Allow the treats to set for about an hour, then cut into squares and enjoy.
- Use low heat when melting the butter and marshmallows to prevent them from burning.
- You can use the microwave to melt the butter and just put the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan to ensure the treats hold together well. You can use wax paper on your hands to reduce stickiness.
- For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle some melted white chocolate over the top of the treats before serving.
- If you really love gooey marshmallows, add some extra marshmallows to the mix for an extra gooey texture.
- Break bigger chunks of Oreo cookies rather than fine crumbs if you want more of a crunch to your treats
