Jalapeño Popper Wontons

These Jalapeño Popper Wontons are the perfect party food appetizer. These easy finger food popper appetizers are made with just a few ingredients and are delicious! Great as a party snack or game day appetizer.

Equipment

  • muffin tin

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup bacon pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1-2 jalapenos diced, seeds and ribs removed
  • Optional- 2 extra jalapenos sliced, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray a muffin tin with non-stick spray.
  • Add the wonton wrappers to the tin, by pressing one down into a cup of the tin, and then a 2nd, rotating slightly to alternate where the corners stick up.
  • Bake the cups for 5 minutes, and remove from the oven.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, use a fork to soften the cream cheese.
  • Fold in 1/2 cup of bacon pieces, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and the diced jalapeno.
  • Divide this mixture evenly between the cups.
  • Top with the remaining shredded cheese and bacon pieces.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until everything is melted.
  • If desired, top with a slice of fresh jalapeno.
