Caramel Apple Trifles
These Easy Caramel Apple Trifles are the perfect fall dessert! Layers of spiced apples, cake, and caramel drizzle come together in minutes. This is a perfect no bake, easy dessert.

Ingredients
3
granny smith apples
2
tsp.
lemon juice
Pinch
of nutmeg
1 1/2
tsp.
cinnamon

tbsp.
brown sugar

pound cake
you could also use any cake- white, angel food, etc

cool whip

tbsp.
caramel sauce - use Homemade Caramel Sauce or store-bought
Instructions
Peel and chop the apples into small cubes. Add to a medium saucepan.
Add the lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, to dissolve the sugar and soften the apples. Let this cool most of the way before continuing.
Cut the pound cake into cubes, and add the cool whip to a piping bag.
To assemble, add a layer of pound cake cubes.
Then, add a layer of the apples.
Add 1-2 tbsp. caramel sauce, and add a layer of cool whip.
Repeat these layers once more, and top with a drizzle of caramel.
Notes
You can also make these with frozen yogurt for a fun fall breakfast.
