Salad Ingredients
- 2-3 romaine lettuce hearts
- 1 lb cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 1/2 cups croutons
- 12 oz bacon cooked until crispy
- homemade dressing to taste.
Homemade Dressing for BLT Salad
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tbsp sour cream
- 2-3 tbsp fresh chives chopped
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 2-3 tbsp milk
For the salad, rough chop the romaine hearts, combine romaine, tomatoes, and bacon in a large bowl, and toss.
Add dressing to taste.
When serving, add the desired amount of croutons.
Homemade Dressing
For the dressing, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and chives in a jar or other container to store any leftover dressing in.
Slowly add milk, 1 tbsp at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
You can add additional salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
If not serving immediately, omit combining the bacon, store it separately, and add to salad as desired.
