- 2 ounces Jameson Irish whiskey
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1 ½ ounces simple syrup
- Fresh lemon slices for garnish optional
- Maraschino cherries for garnish optional
- Ice
- 1 egg white optional
Add about 1 cup of ice to a cocktail shaker.
Add Jameson, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake well to combine and chill.
Fill your glass with fresh ice, and pour the cocktail, strained, into the glass.
Garnish with a fresh lemon slice and a maraschino cherry.
Egg Whites - the Irish sour can be served with or without an egg white. To use egg white, you use a dry shake. If adding egg whites mix all the ingredients without the ice, shake the ingredients for 20-30 seconds and then add the ice and shake again.
