- 3 cups milk
- 2 tbsp. Cocoa powder
- ¼ cup Milk chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. Granulated sugar
- ½ tbsp. Molasses
- 1 ½ tsp. Ground ginger
- ¼ tsp. Nutmeg
- Whipped cream for topping
- A sprinkle of nutmeg for topping optional
- Gingerbread cookies for topping optional
In a medium or small saucepan, combine cocoa powder, chocolate chips, sugar, molasses, ginger, nutmeg, and milk.
Heat over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until chocolate is melted, and the mixture is steamy.
Pour into two mugs, and top with whipped cream, a gingerbread cookie, or a sprinkle of nutmeg.
