Broccoli Cheese Quiche

This Broccoli Cheddar Quiche combines ehe flavors of broccoli with melty cheese for a delicious homemade quiche. Perfect for a holiday breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie prepared pie crust
  • 1 cup Broccoli chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt 1 tsp
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper 1 tsp
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350° F.
  • Melt butter in a saute pan. Add onion and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add broccoli, salt, sauté for an additional 3 minutes. Set aside
  • In a small bowl add eggs, milk, cream, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Place both cheeses and broccoli to the crust, evenly.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the crust.
  • Set the quiche pan on a baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the center of the quiche has set, about 35 to 45 minutes.

Notes

  • If you're using a store-bought pie crust, consider blind baking it by lining it with parchment paper, filling it with pie weights (or dry beans), and baking it for about 10 minutes before adding the quiche filling. This helps prevent a soggy bottom crust.
  • For a crustless option, simply grease your pie pan and pour the quiche filling directly into it.
  • You can customize this quiche by adding your favorite ingredients, like sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, or even leftover cooked meats.
  • Making this the night before is a great way to have an easy breakfast or brunch.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container 
  • The quiche is done when the center of the quiche is set.
  • Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This will allow the filling to set.
