- 4-5 Mangoes or 20 oz Frozen Mango Cubed
- 2 ounces Lime Juice
- 3 ounces Tequila
- 2 ounces Cointreau
- 2-3 handfuls Ice Cubes
- Sea Salt or Chili Powder for the glass rims Optional
Freezing Fresh Mango
Step One: Cut the mango into cubes and freeze it for 3 hours, or skip to step 3 if you already have frozen mango.
Step Two: Line a tray with parchment paper and place the mango cubes separated. Freeze for 2-4 hours. If you freeze the mango cubes separately, no big pieces will form, and it will be easier to blend.
Step Three: Place the ice, frozen mango, lime juice, tequila, and Cointreau in a blender and blend until smooth.
If the mixture is too thick to blend, let it sit and melt for a few minutes.
Serve with a slice of mango and a straw.
Tip: Use fresh ripe mango for best results.
If desired, use a lime wedge to moisten the rims of the glasses and then dip the rims in a plate of salt or chili powder.
Final Step: Pour the mango mixture into the glasses and garnish with a lime slice and mint leaves. Enjoy!
