Blueberry Crisp Without Oats

This tasty and easy blueberry crisp without oats is the highlight of any meal, the perfect quick dessert idea, and a great way to use fresh blueberries that are in season now.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Lightly grease a square baking pan
  • Pour blueberries in greased pan
  • Sprinkle lemon juice over berries
  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and egg until crumbly.
  • Cover the blueberries with the crumb batter.
  • Pour melted butter on the crumb mixture.
  • Bake in the oven 35 -38 minutes until topping is light brown and blueberries are bubbling.

Notes

You can make the topping mixture ahead of time and keep it in a baggie or sealed container until ready to make. 
Wash the blueberries ahead of time so they are ready when you are.
Top with ice cream or whipped cream.
