Best Teriyaki Sauce

This Best Teriyaki Sauce recipe is a tangy marinade I use for making beef teriyaki and grilled beef skewers. The ingredients all come together in minutes to make a marinade that adds wonderful flavor to the meat.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • t teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • For a thicker sauce see notes below:
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • 1. Mix all ingredients in a jar or bowl.
  • 2. pour over meat for the marinade.
  • 3. Keep unused portion in refrigerator

Notes

If you want a thicker sauce, add 1 tablespoon of corn starch to 1 tablespoon of water. Add mixture the marinade and blend well.
