- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- ½ onion chopped
- 3 chicken breasts skinless, boneless
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 2 carrots cleaned, peeled and sliced into ¼" circles
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup macaroni or wide egg noodles
- ½ teaspoon salt
heat oil over low-medium heat in a frying pan
brown chicken breasts in pan until cooked through
Meanwhile, heat chicken broth and water in a large pot on stove over medium heat
add chopped onion, sliced carrots, basil, garlic salt and salt and heat until boiling
while stock is warming, cut cooked chicken in small chunks and add to pot
Add noodles anc cook 6-8 minutes or per package directions
