Peppermint Mocha

Ingredients

  • Mint Simple Syrup:
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint extract
  • 2 oz bittersweet chocolate squares chopped
  • 2 cups Coffee
  • 1 cup Milk

Instructions

  • Mix everything for the mint simple syrup, cook until thick, then refrigerate. Store in a container until ready to use.
  • In a saucepan, add chocolate, coffee and milk
  • Add 1 teaspoon of simple syrup. Add more to taste.
  • Pour in mugs.
  • Garnish with whipped cream or as desired.

Notes

  • Top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and some candy cane pieces to make it look festive.
  • Add a scoop of whipped cream on top to make it even more indulgent.
  • Use a high quality espresso machine or coffee maker for the best flavor.
  • Brew strong coffee and dilute it with hot water for a milder flavor.
