Witches Cookies

These Witch hat cookies are a fun and festive treat that are perfect for a Halloween party. This no bake recipe takes cookies and candy that are decorated to look like witch hats.

Ingredients

  • 24 Fudge Stripe Cookies
  • 24 Hershey Kiss Candies
  • 1 16 ounce tub of decorating icing
  • Orange gel food color
  • Lime green gel food color
  • Purple gel food color
  • Halloween Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Divide the tub of decorating icing evenly into 3 bowls.
  • To one bowl, add about ½ tsp. orange gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.
  • To the second bowl, add about ½ tsp. Lime green gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.
  • To the last bowl, add about ½ tsp. purple gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.
  • Lay out your fudge stripe cookies upside down onto a cutting mat.
  • Add each color of frosting to its own piping bag.
  • Take the orange frosting and pipe a generous circle onto 8 of the cookies.
  • Repeat with the lime green and then the purple frostings.
  • Place a Hershey kiss candy onto each, pressing down to form the ring of frosting around the “brim of the hat”.
  • Work quickly and sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles as you go, so that the sprinkles can attach before the frosting sets.

Notes

  • Experiment with different colors to match the them of your halloween parties or personal preferences.
  • Swap out the Fudge Stripe Cookies for chocolate chip cookies or even peanut butter cookies for a unique twist.
  • Experiment with different toppings like maybe some festive sprinkles, maybe even some black sprinkles with edible glitter!
